Gumbuya Park is home to two adult dingoes Middy and Summer. In late 2011 we also acquired two Dingo pups. Mungi is a Male Black & Tan Alpine Dingo and Yindi is a female Alpine Dingo.
Dingo Pup – Mungi (mungee) meaning lightening in Aboriginal is a male 6 month old Black & Tan Alpine Dingo.
Dingo Pup – Yindi which means sunshine is a female Tan Alpine Dingo, Yindi is now 4 months old and growing fast.

Unlike the domestic dog, dingoes breed only once a year and generally do not bark. They have a more independent temperament than domestic dogs, they are extremely agile and are known to climb trees. Dingoes do not generally form packs; they more often travel in pairs or small family groups.
